Has anyone noticed that GA could be bad for SEO/SERPs?
Case in point:
I used GA for many sites over the last year and noticed a decline in traffic to my sites (blogs) and lower SERP results. Since most of these sites are adult oriented and have a high bounce rate, I started to wonder if using GA was actually allowing Google to use this data to determine my sites popularity and position on Google (forget back links for minute).
I think if you have a site that constantly increases back links, has new content weekly and a low bounce rate GA can work in your favour, however, if you have a high bounce rate and get any kind of drop in traffic and back links, then I think GA can be VERY BAD for your site(s).
I decided to drop the GA Code from all these sites about 3 months ago... Results?
A 70% increase in traffic since I removed the GA code - in 3 months!
Anyone else have similar experience with Google Analytics?
