Here's what in an adwords coupon site:

Is that even possible? Can Google Really track what is in my desktop?

Would that violate the user privacy policy?

I guess if you downloaded the desktop adwords tool it can look for it's files on your computre.
In general G dosn't do it, you can clean your browser and work as new.

If you are worried of google spying on you (which it does, it's his modus operandI) then use virtual machines. Anyway, I don't see a point in downloading adwords anyway but maybe your situation is calling for it.

I am pretty sure that tracking customer's files is against the law.

OMG! That's crazy! If you're using some desktop app or whatever of theirs, you may want to check the TOS but cripes, this shouldn't be legal in any situation IMHO.

But then Google things they're above the law these days. And who knows, having bought their way into 22 political lobbying groups maybe they are.
