I just came across a post on another forum, it went on to talk about how a client of his recently got a penalty for 'Unnnatural Linking'. You know the story and have seen the message that Google's rolled out to over 700k people in their Webmaster Tools. Here's the details from that post: Is there any evidence that this is actually occurring besides what this guy posted? No, not yet. But here's some interesting things that are currently going on in the Google verse that show's that Google's proactively interested in the commenting platform idea. http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=24319 Could Akismet be sharing this spam data with Google? Its likely they could be. Cleaning up the web and reducing spam is something that benefits both sides of the table, both Google and Wordpress. Has anyone else seen any evidence that Google's providing evidence to URL's with blog comments that have NOT yet been approved?
