Is getting monetized approved and enabled hard even with the 1k subs and 4k watchtime?

Someone told me even when you have the correct needed account subs and watchtime that applying for adsense, itcan take months to get an answer and normally you'll get unapproved.

How accurate is this?

it just done manually so take time they don't rush but in Normal to wait.

just becouse it take time dont mean your not getting monetized

So it might depend if you have some copyright alerts, or new COPPA laws or something like that?

Say the account is clean has real subscribers and no issues then, sounds like it'll be fine based on replies here thus far.
 
It mostly depends on what type of content you have on your channel and how easily they can tell it's yours, original or not. I've heard cases recently where it only takes a few days to get approved but might take a few weeks also. In that case the reviewer might need a second opinion to decide if your content is eligible for YPP.

Recently, approval times have been just a few business days.

If it starts taking longer than that then the channel was likely sent to a 2nd, higher level review team if the 1st reviewer felt they didn't have enough information to determine the channel was following all of YouTube's policies, etc.
 
Takes just a few days, but it is a manual review so long gone are those dayswhere you could just slap on some slideshow and use a robot to read, or gather up some compilations.
