Yes directly to money site and no gov or edu but general forum.around 5k forum signature.another thing the person is offering 5k forum profile creating only in one day.i think it is so hurry.what you say?

A link is still a link, remember that. Forum signature links is one of the oldest ways of increasing backlinks. If those 5K links are diversified amongst your homepage & inner-pages, then I say go for it (but ask the guy who's making them to go slow). Split and mix them up with other linking sources (hint hint: comments, directory submissions, press release, bookmarking) and you'll be fine.

If you believe Matt Cutts then there are better ways to spend your time.

Google has moved the playing field and simple text links are almost counter productive, Pyramid linkbuilding is no longer worth the effort but Contextual Links will get you an almost immediate SERPS improvement.

If you watch the latest video by Matt Cutts, Google's own guru, you will learn that contexturl backlinks now have the most value.

Contexturl backlinks are links placed inside an article or blog post that are in the context of their surrounding text, so they look natural.

For example an article on firefighting might have links to a firestation URL. These are quite time consuming to create and invariably need an image to get maximum Google juice.

For anyone planning to create backlinks I recommend you to take 3 minutes to watch the Matt Cutts video on http://autoseosystem.com

If you recognise the change he speaks about. then afterwards use their FREE software to create some contextual articles embedded with your own URL.

So can we tell a links from forum posting or commenting a contextual link?

A link is still a link but its value (forum signature link) has been greatly decrease with the recently changes.

I would not worry about telling where they come from 'cause I'm not a Search Engine, but I sit up and take note when Matt Cutts says profile links are less valuable.

Don`t tell the guy to make them slowly because they won`t index fast,so you will be fine.

and for goodness sake, don't forget to vary your anchor text...

Contextual links have the most benefit, but I'll never turn down a link...forum signature, ********, nofollow, doesn't matter.

A link is a link is a link.

Those other links may bring in more traffic too!

Contexual backlinks are better of course for the link diversity you can do forum posting :)

There's a difference between when a link is indexed and when it actually shows up in Google's Index. Google's link indexing works different from Yahoo's (with it's Site Explorer Feature). I suggested he goes slow meaning don't blast 5k in one single day, let them run on a month so he'll have a stream of incoming backlinks.

I wouldn't worry so much about the indexing, if the forum is very active, surely, the links will be indexed in a matter of days. I for one stand by the fact that link velocity (and consistency) can raise a flag for sandboxing and/or other penalties.

Just my 0.02 on the matter.

That's a pretty cool service. I just tried it and it worked wonderfully. I've been looking for a linkbuilding service that's affordable. I don't need a ton built because I mainly do local SEO. This just may be the answer. Let' see how they index. I've been linkbuilding and using Linklicious for indexing but I've yet to see any number of links actually get recognized so that's my bottom line. I don't know if this is your service or not but if it is, nice job!

yeah? for some reason the site that I am trying to beat has more than 3k profile links pointed at it (and indexed) + blog commnets + lots of other "low quality" links and it has been No2 on Google for many months and still is.... again, one of those do as I say, not as I do things lol

take two same age domain sites, decently optimized, the one with quality AND quantity links will beat the other one easily, there's no question about that, so yo ushould always take both. Of course, you can listen to god Matt and be a good boy, build 3 highly targeted, contextual links per month and make $2.99 per year, while your competitors are making a bank
