Hey everybody. So I've recently gained a strong interest in instagram and it's marketing background. I've been looking to grow an account and I am currently in the process. However, I realizes by follower to following ratio isn't the best. I have around 1000 followers and 800 following and accumulated around 50 likes per picture. My followers are the followers of the king in my niche. I accumutated them by following but is it smart to unfollowing right after? And are there any others tips to growing a small account like me? Thanks

Follow others to gain followers is the easiest way to get followers but it's not the best way to get active followers which i guess you want on your account, most pages would simply follow you back because you follow them, and they would not be interested in your content. But following others is ofcourse a good start.

Try to do some likes aswell as drop a comment here and there on a page that fits yours, there's a decent chance that they follow you back aswell as their followers.

Off-topic: It's always a pain in the ass when you start out with Instagram but once your account gets alot of likes and comments your account is going to grow by itself without any work.

its not recommended to follow and unfollow the same day but if your following for a few days then decide to unfollow thats perfectly fine just start slow and try to find an app that has features to unfollow non followers (if you dont have access to a bot)
