I saw a few campaigns on Teespring with the Nike logo being flipped backward/reverse & it saying "Don't Do It', etc. A lot of similar campaigns that look alike the actual brand. I'm curious because I don't know how most of these campaigns are not removed yet goals are reached.
It is considered trademark infringement and Nike could very well take legal action. The reality though is that Nike probably don't monitor these smaller campaigns due to legal costs they would probably never recover.
Here's the truth: there's a fine line between trademark infringement and fair use such as criticism/satire etc. You've seen the Adidas logo that looks like a marijuana leaf? Nobody sees that and thinks it is original Adidas. It's the same on all these websites like Amazon and YouTube. You may well be right on the legal merits, but if some jerk at YouTube or Teespring, who isn't an attorney, decides it's an intellectual property violation, what can you do? Appeal. Then what? If you are a big corporation with lawyers, yeah just do it! If not, you're out of luck.
Fb is also a violation of my term f***k b**t*h...i want to sue facebook, hope BHW legal team will help me.
