People keep ripping off my gigs, I mean that's great for them. But I have a unique gig and was getting most of the profit within that criteria. Anyone else experiencing that? I made over $300 on that one gig alone two months ago and now a few sales here and there.

Yeah, I use it to buy a freelancer if I really need one. But it's getting more difficult to push a product. I have one that has over 640 views and not a single sale. I get asked about it a lot and I'm usually on top of it and good with the customer service but it's not enough

It's definitely become flooded with lots of identical offers. I guess this will show who is able to stand out from the crowd. Survival of the fittest, ladies and gentlemen. Create and innovate!

Yeah, a lot of the same gigs are popping up around fiverr. The thing is, people will tend to do even more just for the $4, which is kind of crazy. I've seen people doing extreme amounts of work just to beat out the other gigs. I wish you luck on getting your gig back on track.

What do you mean you aren't getting anymore sales anymore? Has another person posted the job with more details? Are you not coming up at the top of search results anymore?

I used fiverr to outsource my seo work. There's ton of backlink service like xrumer there just for $5.

Fiverr is definitely a buyer's market and it gets hard to stay competitive. How much can you really do for under $5 and still profit?

I'd like to see a marketplace like Fiverr but with less of a novelty feeling and better payment options. I know there are clones but nothing has caught on quite like Fiverr has in recent months.

I do plenty of dumb things and SEO related things for $5. I use Fiverr to source my TweetAdder affiliates link. Not only are people paying me $5 dollars to know how to use it but they're paying me up $90 dollars for an affiliated link that I give them. Works wonders for me. But now it's getting annoying. I was so desperate just to do busy work I threw a gig up that I'd make a targeted Twitter account with 3,000 followers. It got at least 900+ hits, but no purchase.

A few of my good friends lost buyers because of other gigs promising more. I can't see how most people can do so much work for only $4. But hey, whatever you can do, I say do it.

For sellers there's absolutely tons of listings basically exactly the same as each other, so there's tons of competition.
For buyers it's great though, lots of choice, and everythings cheap :p

I remember when fiverr was in its infancy. I used to make a few hundred off of them every so often. I do think its over populated now though.

At the end of the day, you could always turn into a buyer and run a longer chain of buying cheaper services for your clients and charging them more. Talking from an economics point that is.

They really need to update or change something on that site. Me, as a buyer, I'm still mad that I have to spend my time on searching for the hidden jewels in there.

I agree. Some of the gigs are worth way more than $5 so you can use fiverr to outsource. The only problem with that is sometimes I go back to a gig and see its been removed, or the seller starts getting a lot of thumbs down because they didn't deliver on time. When the comp gets tough you just gotta get creative to keep making $.

If you are smart, you can make 100-200$ on Fiverr/day. :)

I've bought things like Twiends seeds and sold them by the hundreds for two dollars per 100. That went well when I can get 3000 on Fiverr. I think I'll just move on to Up Hype or Bazaar now. No one's really on those so you can dominate the market.

I've been ripped off by potential competitors as well. Which is the main downside. It's hard to stay on top.
