I had commented this problem in the WHS subforum, but I believe it maybe more suitable for this.

Two days ago, I bought facebook adds for two couple articles of one of my sites, which I am trying to monetize with a mix of adsense and Amazon affiliate links. It's a small site, receiving 50 unique visitors a day and barely generating $5 a month. This campaign multiplied by 20 the number of unique visitors for that day, and the bounce rate fell from some 70% to 20%.

This is the graph for the adsense earnings on the same period.

Absolutely zero increase. Nada. Someone is ripping me off here.

I find the bounce rate graph suspicious. Besides this campaign, 90%+ of my traffic is organic. It's hard to believe that some random people coming to my website from a fb add will find my content much more interesting that the guy who comes from a Google search. And of course I just can't take that such increase in traffic reflects absolutely nothing in adsense clicks.

Has something like this happened to any of you guys?

I don't buy ads on Facebook any more.

I had one campaign which was running quite successfully but the instant I switched from pay per click to pay per view it totally bombed, nothing was changed in the ad at all, or how it was targeted, just the payment method.

I don't trust them AT ALL.

It's amazing to me that anyone still uses Shitbook ads or uses the website period. Instead of going on a rant myself, just go watch this video from Veritasium on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVfHeWTKjag

You'll never want to use FB ads again and with good reason.

People will always complain on how SEO is doomed, AdWords is doomed, Facebook Ads are doomed as so on...
Have you tried thinking that maybe you are doing something wrong?

Sure, when you play around with campaign objectives the results might be a bit different from ad to ad because FB uses data about the targeted audience and serves your ads to the most "relevant".
What I`m trying to say is that if you campaign objective is clicks to website, they will show the ads more frequently to people that click ads with an outbound link while on the other hand, if you bid for post engagement, they will serve to people that engage with posts in general.

The problem is not FB... A lot of people are banking hard with FB and I`m one of them and also the clients that I`m representing but your marketing plan/audience/bidding/ads/settings are wrong...
