I have noticed that Google does not seem to be willing to give larger jumps in it's rankings lately. They will drip small increases in your ranking day to day, with +1 today, -1 tomorrow, +2 the next day but they seem to drag movement out over WEEKS rather then showing any significant movement.

Is everybody else here noticing this also? Are you seeing smaller increases in rankings and less "dancing" than used to happen? I am still moving in a positive direction... but it looks like Google is definitely dripping in movement over many weeks than just over-night now.

    Thoughts??

On Some of my established sites i realized that it moves up +1 and -2 than +5. But on new sites it took 2-4 weeks to make huge jump suddenly.

Yep, that's pretty close to what I've noticed as well. All my sites are well aged, and they seem to SLOWLY move up... but in VERY small amounts. It used to jump by 10x or more a couple months ago, but now it moves VERY slowly... especially once I've make the top 20 in a keyword. Then it does like you said: +1, -2, -1, +1, +1, +1.... but that is over the course of two or three weeks.

Yeah i guess thats the penguin algorithm causing the problem. It takes much longer to rank the sites now.

I've noticed the same thing about my sites. Slowly, slowly, they gain visitors and authority. Too slowly in my view...

    Yes! me too!
    +6 then +4 then -4 then +5
The problem with this is, it will be a lot harder to scale my sites as my whole business is SEO dependent.

Some of my sites are gaining +2 +1 +3 -2 +3 throughout the past few days. Can't complain though. It's better than googles other surprises!

Same here. My sites are slowly climbing in the rankings. I think it depends on what page you are. If you are on the 100th+ position, you will still see huge jumps. But when you get to the 1st or second page, it goes slowly then.
