Is embedding a movie illegal?

    If I want to embed a movie from another site to my page then is it illegal?

    yes it is illegal .. if you are posting it on facebook or twitter maybe your account will be suspended

    That depends on the movie, the site you upload to and sometimes local laws. In The Netherlands a simple link to another website can get you in trouble these days, depending on what you are linking too of course.

    On itself embedding a movie is not illegal, just look at embedding a Youtube video for example.

    On ikka illegaalne.. ole veidikene ettevaatlik sellega.. inglismaal üks vend läks kinni sellep , et tal oli mingi sait , kus ta oli nii plekki teenind.

    Trans: yes it's illegal.. be little bit careful with it. In England one guy went to jail because of that, he had some kind of site where he earned big bucks with showing tv shows.

    Embedding = publishing. Just because you don't host the content doesn't mean you don't infringe on anyone's copyright.
