I've been thinking about getting into CPA marketing, but I'm curious about how it's doing in 2026.

Is anyone here still making consistent profits? I'd love to hear your experience—what offers or traffic sources are working, how long it took you to become profitable, and what advice you'd give to someone just starting.

CPA still pays, but the easy button version is mostly gone. @opi1000 if you’re starting now, don’t jump between 10 verticals... pick one traffic source and one geo/vertical combo, otherwise you’ll just burn test budget and learn nothing. Leadgen, sweepstakes, dating, finance/insurance stuff can still work, but compliance and tracking is where most newbies mess up. Expect to lose money for a while, not because CPA is dead, but because your first campaigns are usually just buying data.

Appreciate the honest answer. I'm fine with treating my first campaigns as a learning expense. In your experience, what's the biggest mistake beginners make besides poor tracking? And if you had to pick one CPA network and one traffic source for someone new in 2026, what would they be?

@opi1000
Biggest mistake is choosing too many niches and traffic sources at once. Many people I work with make this mistake and end up not making money. However, if you focus on one method, it's very likely you'll earn money and learn a lot.
CPA network? Try @MyLead becouse for incent CPA/CPL offers does not require complicated registration details.

Offering interesting content and locking it with CPA offers still works well. Of course its getting harder now to promote because social media platforms and video sharing sites are getting more strict but thats actually a good thing. More people give up = less competition

Hey @opi1000,

To give it to you straight: yes, CPA is definitely still profitable in 2026. The game has evolved, so you can't just throw links at the wall and hope they stick anymore, but if you treat it like an actual business, the profits are very consistent.

Since you're just starting out, my biggest tip is to go for low-barrier offers. You want campaigns where the user doesn't even need to pull out a credit card for you to get paid, think SOI email submits, sweepstakes, or content locking. As for traffic, if your budget is zero, organic short-form video is a goldmine right now. If you’ve got a few bucks to play with, push traffic is super cheap and an awesome playground to learn how tracking and optimization actually work.

When it comes to seeing green, it really comes down to your hustle. Honestly, expect your first month or two to be pure learning. You might burn a little money testing things out, but just look at it as buying data and experience. Once you get the hang of reading your stats and killing the bad placements, it’ll all start to click.

If you’re looking for a good place to set up camp, I represent MyLead here and I’d highly recommend checking us out. We’ve got a bunch of high-converting offers right now that are incredibly beginner-friendly. Plus, you won't have to figure it all out alone, our Affiliate Managers are always around to help you out, and we’ve got plenty of step-by-step guides on our site to get your campaigns rolling. Best of luck out there!

CPA marketing is doing great but the age of making duplicate funel and earning easy money is past. the new age of suces is about understanding how to track, intent, test ideas nd generate real trafic.

CPA is absolutely still worth it in 2026, but the future belongs to professionals who combine CPA + AI, not people doing only traditional marketing work

@opi1000 Another huge mistake is copying spy tool campaigns page-for-page without changing anything. people rip a landing page, run the exact same creatives, and then wonder why it doesn't convert... you gotta tweak the angles and make it yours or you're just burning cash against guys with huge budgets.

For network and traffic... if you have zero budget just go with ogads or @MyLead and do tiktok/shorts organic. if you got like $200 to test, go with push traffic on propellerads and run sweepstakes. push is still cheap enough that you can actually learn how to optimize and read data without losing your shirt in two hours.

CPA is not dead, yet it has become highly competitive. Those who succeed possess good tracking, traffic sources, and testing skills. It is advisable to begin with small steps, gather data, and improve according to statistics instead of trying to achieve fast results..

Biggest mistake beyond tracking imo is not letting campaigns run long enough before killing them. People panic after $20 spend, turn everything off, tweak, restart... and never actually collect enough data to make a real decision. You end up flying blind the whole time.

Second one is chasing payout instead of volume when starting. Everyone wants the $40 CPL offers but those convert way harder. Low friction SOI or content lock stuff gets you data faster and cheaper, which is what you actually need early on.

For one network and one source... hard to name a single "best" since it depends what you can promote, but push traffic paired with sweeps/SOI is probably the cheapest way to learn optimization without bleeding out. Just don't touch page-per-page ripped spy campaigns like @Adsmith2026 said, thats a fast way to lose.

CPA is and will be profitable in every year. But if you are a solo player and a newbie, your chances are quit low. If I needed to pick one traffic source that you can master and make some money, it would be Reddit.

everyone already covered the tracking and one vertical thing so i wont repeat it. one mistake i dont see mentioned much is not having a proper prelander/angle before the offer. people send push or shorts traffic straight to the offer page and the drop off is brutal. a simple bridge page that warms them up first can double your conversions on the same traffic.

also on the letting campaigns run thing... yeah dont kill after $20 but dont let a clearly dead placement bleed for a week either. blacklist the trash sources fast, keep testing the rest. reddit is decent for organic if you can avoid getting banned but its finicky, tiktok organic is prob easier to scale for a total newbie imo

CPA marketing is still very profitable, but not easy. You can still get good conversions from Paids Ads. Experiment with different traffic sources.

It's easier now more than ever with AI to write your scripts/articles. Just keep working beyond video #2 when you only see 6 views on one video and 0 views on the other. In CPA Grip there's a user named YouTuber who's making hundreds per day with CPA.

Organic traffic from TikTok is definitely easier right from the start.

REddit has huge potential, but in the case of CPA, where advertising strictly URLs or other social pre-landers is required - unfortunately, it is not easy. Especially when we want to scale our traffic this way.

CPA marketing is profitable but what is imprtant in today is world is to test and optimize, not to find out the magic offer. The people who make money alway know how to analyze the data nd optimize their funnel and work with one traffic source for a long time.

CPA is good earnings method that can generate residual earnings on good manager that take most of they time generate traffics on target link or offer for convert sales/lead.
