Flippa has tons of sites that are made to sell SEO services. Are these sites illegitimate or would you avoid them? (the ones that say to outsource everything and then jack the prices up so you can get a profit)

Most of the sellers say that they will tell you the way to drive traffic to them without seo (this to me, is where the real value is, because without targeted traffic, you won't make any money). what traffic do you think they are referring to? Could they just be referring to cheap A$$ crappy traffic that you can buy?

thanks for any insight that you could share regarding this.

Most purchases on Flippa are only a good investment for the seller - especially the newer ones

He's right, create your own wordpress site around some services here and go from there as it will save you the initial purchase price for a shit site who the sellers probably providing the shitty services and double dipping on you for shit. Did i say shit?

thanks for the replys... so, for example in one auction (search topseodone on flippa to find it), the owner says, "This business gets traffic from my advertising methods of which complete details will be given to the winner of this auction, so that the visitors flow to this business will remain same. My traffic sources will not only bring you more visitors but will also help you to get good sales to this business."

what traffic sources do you think he is referring to?

He's blowing smoke up your ass. Look at that bounce rate at 73% with 616 Uniques. That means out of his 616 uniques, 450 of them left without visiting a second page so you know damn well they're not buyers. That leaves you 166 visitors that looked at more than one page and making this seller $630 a month. Yeah that didn't happen you can bet your ass. If this guy was selling weed for a dollar an ounce he probably couldn't get 166 visitors to toss him $630.

PP screenshots don't included vital information showing balance, payment email address, url. Conveniently nothing but numbers. Those screenshots could be from Google images for all you know.

With good domain tools you'd know this domain was purchased 08-28-2012 and parked at GD until 11-02-2012 when it was transferred to ResellerClub and the blog you see was created then. Check his first listing when he listed this site on
    Tue, 13 Nov 2012 17:54:10 GMT

and notice his Alexa count was 0. Alexa count of 0 means no traffic. This seller claims this site made money in September and October with an Alexa 0? Yeah that didn't happen.

Also how do you think it made revenue while it was parked?

Check his successful selling price of listings verses his unsuccessful listings. Absolutely shill bidding signs. Notice how there are high prices but ended unsuccessful on most of his listings? Now look at the ones he sold. Most for a lower price than his "supposed" unsuccessful listings. That's because he was shilling those unsuccessful and kept them in reserve until he got a real bidder. If he got a real bidder he'd drop the reserve and accept a real bidder and amazingly they'd win! This protect him in case it doesn't sell and he has to relist. If unsuccessful he can relist for half price. If he let that auction turn green with his shills he'd be risking paying full price for a relist plus a success fee if he didn't catch a real bidder. Of course there's a programming loophole at Flippa to this but we won't be disclosing this on a forum Flippa is actively watching.

Lastly the origin of the seller is listed on Flippa for a damn good reason. Learn the reason and you'll not waste your time with such bullshit listings.

Answer above by kvm... is spot on. They are scams. I bought a couple a while back. All fake. the secrets they give you is to manually spam email addresses offering the service. Just start your own. Don't get sucked in with the fake paypal shots etc. One I bought I found his paypal was the same as his 'suppliers'. Of course as its intangible goods paypal will never refund you for this scam.....and flippa don't want to know...they still make their money out of scams
    My advice don't touch them....

    great answer kvmcable
most of those sites have nothing organic mostly ppc i would imagine
you could easily set up one on your own and even find vendors on forums here, your better off making your own partnership with vendors here

Not really prepared to say how much as I am too embarrassed at being taken for a ride.... The secret methods these guys talk about is manually finding businesses contact details and sending out an unsolicited email...ie spam. Don't touch these sites or get taken in.

Once again do you really think they are going to sell a site that makes them x per month for less than x for the no work or the 1/2 hour a week they claim they spend or whatever. Read between the lines and read what they are really saying. Clever wording and marketing here, And many of us don't know as I didn't and assumed the deal would be protected by paypal but its not. Any dispute that is not tangible goods goes in favor of the seller full-stop. Its clearly in their TOC. Even if it is clearly fraud and you have all the information to prove it, you just get the standard one line rejection. Paypal do not want to know. Flippa don't want to know as they get commission on all these scams...
Take a good look around flippa and you will see these same sales all the time.

PM me any offer that covers my time and you can have one such site that I bought on flippa including the 'special methods' for next to nothing.... whats its worth...

greenmachine1: Please dont listen to these nay sayers. These people who say not to buy these websites on Flippa just try to mislead you. actually there is a huge profit that can be made with this business. My friend was telling me today that he used to own this kind of sites and there is a huge profit that can be made.

So go ahead and buy them. if you can afford, dont just buy 1. buy as many as you can afford because you WILL profit from them by selling SEO services to people. It will work on auto pilot man.

    dont listen to these people.

Nice try but come back here with facts and not some "my friend told me" nonsense and someone might actually believe you.

not all of them are scammers. You can ask them for all info (where they advertised, how much traffic they get, how much they earn per month, how many regular clients they have and so on) and they will show you all statistics if they are really not a scammers.

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/152912-kvmcable.htmlkvmcable: get knotted man. i dont have to prove anything to anyone. But the fact remains that there are websites with no traffic, no earnings, no pagerank, no stats but still being sold for good money on Flippa and else where and this is what im planning to do and i dont care :).
