It still works great if you know what you’re doing. For example, the domain needs to have a domain background check. I have a 45 point checklist, too much to mention here. But look at backlinks, anchor text, pages that the link tools know about. Look at the former topic. Look at the former name servers. Look at dns and Whois history of the domain.
