Ok, so I have thaught about list building a lot in the last couple of days...
especially IM/make money online related, however I ran in the following problem:
Even if our list would be full of complete noobs they would know about clickbank after a single purchase,
    let alone more expierenced IMers.

In fact they would purchase the products that we are/were marketing only through their own links to safe money :/

So, is there a solution to that problem? Because under those circumstances it will be impossible ( at least for me ) to make money from them...

Edit: Should mention that I don´t want to sell solo ads!

No matter the niche, no matter your experience or your target's experience, what people are trying to sell or offer, needs to be something of value. I think people lose sight of this and think since they are taking action they will succeed. Give them value.

Even if I am providing lots of value, I don´t think it will neglegt the common sense of a person (sure in some cases it might, however our conversion would probably still be cut in half).

Well, I wouldn't only limit myself to send clickbank products to my list. Actually you can find up to 100% comission products on JVZoo and WSOPlus. Not to mention if you build your own product or JV with someone you will have a base of customers to market to, they could even become your potential affiliates if it's done the right way.

If it wasn't full of money there wouldn't be so many 5-figures and 6-figures WSO launches, and people wouldn't even be doing it.

I have been in IM for several years, and my wife has watched me. She sees every thread on here, she knows all of the tricks, but I still catch her sometimes trying to buy a "copy+paste to millions" system, or she will check my email and see an email from "adriana" saying "I will be moving close to you soon, hope we can still meet" or a text from a number saying "I had fun chatting with you on blahblah.com" and it is world war 6!

My point is, it don't matter what they know or what they have experienced. There will ALWAYS be buyers.

Thats an interesting point you have there! However, I want to provide value, which basicaly excludes 99,95% of everything with the term WSO in it... Also I am by far not ready to create my own product. This issue actually sickenss me I see the potential but I am not able to grab it!!! If I find a way around the cb problem I am definitly starting a journal on this, regarding email marketing I always have the feeling that really important stuff isn´t available or not doable for a beginner.

email list is by far important to me..it gets you repeated buyer if you have solid fanbase, but it must have value.
for example i myself buy products online and subscribe to an email because they provide real value.
dont think too much, just do..there are more in the im then just mmo niche..:)

Of course there will always be people who go crazy (not meaning your wife rather some warriors), but just think about the revenue that is lost if only 3 buyers buy through there own link. That can easily be 100 bucks or even more... and if you like me life of 10€ a day (university student) thats an impressive amount!

OK I figured out the anwser: Buying through own link breaks TOS

    There's a sucker born every minute. ;)

No need to fret just as long as you're dealing with ever-green niches.

Try to establish strong relationship with your traffic and then sell services/products otherwise you will not get good conversion rate without strong relationship.

I know it seems that way, but its not true. Lots of IM noobs completely fall for CB products, which is how guys like Offervault make a killing off their lists.

I agree with cnick79: give them value.

Probably the best thing you can do, is to acquire enough experience to provide them YOUR (info)products. Of course you have to establish a strong relation with your readers, setting them in the "can't wait for next email" mood.

I think we all have thousand subscriptions to thousand mailing lists, but at the end how many of them you really "cant' wait to receive"? Look carefully into THOSE and you will find inspiration for your tactics.

    Hope this helps.
