Hey BHW family, 6mo ago I created a fashion/lifestyle niche Instagram page featuring Black fashionistos. It has 20k followers, I started by just reposting, adding original content here and there, now my page is tagged by users and get DM's every day asking for a feature. I've been blessed to collaborate with two luxury brands and a couple other small brands. I'll admit, I haven't made much.. Under $500, but the free stuff is nice. My friends have been telling me I should create a blog, but I'm a terrible writer and not sure where to even begin, Outsource the writing? Use a template website maker? Stay up all night reading about the sketchy ways to monetize? Stick to Instagram? Am I answering my own questions? lol

    I'm out of whiskey.

Hi, @Youngwill500. Truth to be told, self-talk helps me resolve my questions in several occasions. :)

I understand that you're looking for some sort of validation or confirmation on whether your friends' suggestion for you to build a blog is right or not. The truth of the matter is that you'll never know what you're gaining or losing until you try.

Nonetheless, blogging is about the content publication which is never a rustic way of doing online marketing. I second the suggestion of your friends.

Outsourcing is your option if you do not have a good knack for writing. Shop around on BHW's Marketplace for content providers. Check their customer reviews. Observe their customer service. Chat or talk with the writer or provider on Skype if you wish.

With regard to building a website, there are several WordPress themes that have design wizards. Meaning to say, when you install their WP theme, dummy posts, pages, and design are installed, too. You just need to do customization on the color or content that you wish.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Jaycee
