Is blackhat SEO dead?

Well Black Hat SEO is something that is rarely used these days but that doesn't mean that it has no place in SEO anymore.
It is being used and considered prominent by many users. Search Engines still support it to some extent.

Black Hat SEO isn't dead, but the glory days of flooding your site with traffic with just a couple of tricks are over, the dirty SEO of shoving hidden keywords or buying links en masse no longer works like it used to, techniques that outsmarted the algorithm in 2018 are now a death sentence for your website.

The thing is, google has become incredibly smart, and now its algorithms understand language and context better than ever, you can no longer fool the crawler with obvious tricks, these days, what exists is Gray Hat SEO, which consists of techniques in that gray area that are on the edge of the rules but don't quite cross them, things like using high quality link farms not the usual cheap ones or automating certain parts of link building on a massive scale. If you know what you're doing and are careful, some people can still profit, but most who try these techniques without the proper knowledge end up sinking their projects.

The main problem with starting with Black Hat SEO today is that it's no longer profitable for someone just starting out. You can make quick money, yes, but you won't build a lasting business, most sites using pure Black Hat SEO last a few months before being wiped out with an update.

Most serious operators keep their better methods private these days.
Once something gets discussed everywhere, its lifespan usually gets a lot shorter.

honestly i think many old blackhat tricks stopped working long term, so people mix safer SEO with few experiments now.

Yeah blackhat SEO is not dead, just people prefer to rank with whitehat because it's safer.

I don't think blackhat SEO is dead, but it does seem much less openly discussed than before. Many tactics still exist, but people are often more cautious about sharing what is currently working because methods can burn out quickly once they became public. Most discussions now seem to focus on sustainable strategies, while the more aggressive tactics stay behind closed doors.

I think that's because the SEO landscape has changed a lot. Many tactics that used to be considered "black hat" either stopped working consistently or carry too much risk, so people focus more on content quality, topical authority, and sustainable ranking strategies. The discussions may be different now, but they're still centered on getting results.

Short cuts are always there. Just you have to walk a few steps more. Kind of moving from black hat to disguised white hat way, which means that you can still employ some tactics but do need to manage the digital footprints with great care to avoid being easily identified and flagged. If you are doing BHW SEO biz yourself, better employ separate servers, IP addresses, unique website structures for each site; if you are purchasing BHW SEO services, gonna be selective and prudent to check the BL histories etc.

Real black hat SEO has always been about testing, not following forum trends.
The winners are usually the ones running experiments while everyone else debates theory
