what worth is being on Googles second page,
does it get 1% of searches or something like that ?
Are you getting any traffic? Are you earning money? Thats whats important. If you get no visits, its worthless. I have a new site with many page 2 and 3 positions that bring a lot of traffic, 100+ uniques a day. Then I also have sites with page 2 that get no traffic yet. There is no absolute answer to your question. It just depends on your circumstances.
well my site(s) are way behind that but I plan to bring them to page 1 or most likely 2 because of heavy competition, so worst case scenario if they go to page 2 hopefully I will get traffic, its in the plastic surgery topic
I will try at a minimum page 2
I do not believe 2nd pages are worth anything at all
It is good; it is a step in the direction of getting to the first page where all the cash is lying around.
He is right, the second page wont get you much traffic or any. But if you can get to the second page you can get to the first with more time.
yep i dont think you would get much traffic being on the second page. Just a little more work and you can move that up.
Put out a press release and see what that does for you.
It is hard to answer, depends on niche and keywords, if user search for just information it can go deeper in serps but normally page one is your main target
Your traffic will increase at least tenfold when you go from position 11 to position 10.
Try to rank in top 5.
I mostly target smaller keywords with high CPC and lower search volume and i can honestly say search traffic is insignificant before your top 3 first page. Perhaps its a different story for high volume keywords, just my experience.
When put that way, not really. I for one rarely go beyond the first page. But we have to take into account the results are not always same and depending on the location, previous search history etc, a result that is on second or third page for you can easily be on the first page for someone else.
Being on top of 2nd page won't be that beneficial as being on top5-7 on 1st page. though few of the keywords, people go to around 4-5 pages. So it might be good depending on results on 1st page.
example) People looking to buy apple iphone 4, wouldn't go to sites such as wikipedia and news site. If there are only 2-3 results on that page which are relevant for the user, he might go to page #2,3 and so on.
In short, being on top on 2nd page would be depending on the search term and the results present on 1st page.
The most important is that you are near the first page.
So, stop wondering about the 2nd page trafic share and keep increasing your SEO efforts to reach the 1st one
Being at top of page 2 is better than being at bottom of page 1.
Plenty of surveys ran which tests the clicks on these things
It depends on the topic.
In some cases do I see an impressive increase in conversion rate on results on page 2, so it's not always about CTR.
Honestly, to me it just means that I'm that much closer to page 1 and to ramp up more efforts
Wait 100+ uniques is a lot? I have 400+ uniques a day and I'm earning nothing. My niche doesn't allow Adsense though.
