Artisteer works just fine. :) The coding is clean. I have 3 different sites using Artisteer templates and they're all ranking high. The key to seo is not so much in the template coding... the secret is in the h1 tag, description, title and linking structures. Hope this clarifies. :)

First, if you're not going to do coding, you're only going to get part of the site you really want. Artisteer can do a wonderful job for mock-ups and getting most of a site design running, but taking it to the next level is going to require coding.

That said, Artisteer does a great job for what it does, which does not include SEO. If you want the best SEO experience, you're again going to need to do some coding.

After all, isn't that why you're making the big bucks?

My only concern with artisteer is I'm not sure how well of a job it does with the H1 and H2 tags for the website. The H1 tag is a link back to your home page with the title as anchor and h2 is a link back to the current page with title as anchor. So I guess the H2 tag works well...
