is arcblock.io a scam?

Bigger problem will be getting even 1 token with 50 ETH cap and gas wars and big whales paying 1 ETH alone in gas!

Valid point there. I've read that for CargoX ICO someone spent somewhere around 1 ETH to secure a 5 ETH contribution.

Could be another Benebit? ArcBlocks' not looking too good.

On top of that, weird thing is they banned me in a few seconds after posting that Google Docs link in their main Telegram group.

I joined and have just been reading all the messages. I'm still on the fence but I don't think they are a scam. The hype factor is huge with almost 50,000 telegram users.

I'm tempted to invest in the ICO...

I'll wait and see how this plays out over the next few weeks.

They don't look scam, still search about they. Well, they have managed the online communities and marketing campaign very well.

ArcBlock ICO is tomorrow. Anyone participating???

I got KYC approved and will put a small amount on it.

There are quite a few red flags but I'm willing to gamble a small amount, anyone else?

Honestly I still don't know what to do, the red flags are still there and in my eyes they haven't changed their color a bit. I'll probably go with a small amount as well but that depends on what my gut feeling will say tomorrow.

Meanwhile, lol at the CEO that needs visual aids to say 30 words in front of a camera

Looks pretty sketchy. I thought this post was pretty funny talking about the red flags:

When a company intentionally misleads investors, it becomes a scam. Arcblock appears to be dishonest in the following areas:

1) Its CEO Robert Mao claims that they have about 30 employees, and most of them are in the U.S. He further claims that the reason they are not on LinkedIn is because they don't want to be disturbed by social media. Are you kidding? Has any company banned its employees to be on LinkedIn? Funny that AFTER the question about number of employees came up, they posted a job opening on the Internet.

2) The IBM, SAP, etc. partnerships seem to be abnormal. Simple participation of a program is not the same as GTM or joint development type of partnerships. I doubt IBM, SAP, Bloomberg, etc. are even aware that their logo's are being used by Arcblock.

3) The attorney listed on the company web page is an independent lawyer, not Arcblock's corporate attorney. This is not a huge deal but it's misleading to appear to be bigger.

4) Robert Mao also claims that they've been developing the project for about a year. Why was the domain name only registered 2 months ago? If they've had a sizeable team to develop this, how come they don't have any customers, not even a prototype?

5) There are lots of scam articles about Arcblock ICO on the web. The company listed whole bunch of advisors on its website. How come not a single one defended them (except for Maggie Lu, whose company is also questionable).Lastly, even though Arcblock's founders are technical, the concept of building a non open source layer on top of blockchain for developing applications does not make sense. It's not going to be Visual Studio. While lots of people want to jump on the ICO bangwagon, be careful!

On a positive note, they are partned with CyberMiles and you can buy into the ICO using that crypto. CyberMiles also got listed on Binance right out of ICO.

Im not taking part in this ICO as alreayd stated too many red flags. The team seems very weak and just another money grab. People i know have pulled out too but i know others will buy hoping for a quick flip. Just too many opportunities in crypto and many coins at bargain prices now anyway.

Founder looks SKETCHY AF. During the AMA with Ian Balina couldn't answer 90% of the questions. I don't care if this skyrockets, I prefer not to risk my money

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the US doesn’t allow ICOs. I know citizens can’t participate in them, so I find it hard to believe companies are allowed to as well.
