I love my Mac and i wish more programs could run from it instead of my PC... Do you know of any programs that I could run?

Run parallels and you can run windows inside a virtual machine.
I think you can also run WINE, which I use in my Linux household.

i lurve wine =) i want to run that, fkin hate pc's but everything i use runs on windows.

I've got Tor running on my Mac to change my IP. But yea, Parallels is the way to go, why fight it?

i'm having a hard time being convinced to put windows on my mac, but my windows laptop is broken right now, so i'm not really left with a choice until i get that repaired

if you're using Mac i HIGHLY suggest either dual booting with Boot Camp or using Parallels

I agree with you I wasn't fond of the idea either.

As everyone has said Parallel and bootcamp. I have tried both personally and hate them both. You still have the little errors that you have with windows and it seems alot of stuff including the internet doesn't like parallel or Bootcamp.

I have a seperate pc laptop for bh work and a external HD so I can switch between the two it works great for me. If you get in line at best buy you can get a laptop for $300... Bring the tent, lol

I do wish there was more programs that were dmg instead of exe.

Ahhh, i'm in the same boat where i dont really want to use windows on here but i'm eding more and more that way...

Which programs would you want to run on your mac, i'm going to look into having some converted for use on a mac. Would you purchase them if they were available?

HA HA Buy a Mac and Use Windows because you can't get shit for a Mac --kinda defeats the purpose.

Well one I cannot say here... but it involves milk and ---> "______s" LOL

If you are looking at getting some converted let me know I want to be the super affiliate!!!!! I know lots of mac users... I will ask and see what is wanted.

If you only have a MAC then by all means buy a copy of XP or Vista and do the dual boot. Myself I love to keep my Mac pure virgins and clean from Microsoft, so I use both types.

I bought a mac because I don't like errors, spyware and viruses and have not seen any of those yet :)

I also bought a mac because with the video editing, graphics and music production I do it's flawless.

I have a Mac and I use Fusion to also run windows at the same time. It's been awesome so far because I run my software on my pc while doing my Mac related projects.

I've tried Parallels but Fusion just won me over because of how smooth it ran.

Yes, it's true. The fact that comparatively, very little software is programmed for the MAC has always been the reason why I avoided getting one. I have played with them before, and I do have to admit that for creating Multimedia elements like Video and Audio, the MAC has an edge over the PC, but with the dual-core processors on PC's now, they have come up almost to the performance level of MAC's.

Your only solution is to run windows inside a virtual machine...
Otherwise, you'll need to have 2 computers, one for a PC another for MAC!

Oh there is no competition between osx and xp... none.

I spoke to my programmer and he said the conversions are possible and the time table wouldn't be more than a week.

I still need a list of programs that are the best for our purposes so i can get a consensus.

PS. I do have a PC but I only use it when I HAVE to... and there is nothing like the ability to be mobile.

Mac vs PC.

fun vs ability.

heavy duty track vs ferrari.

Can a heavyduty track run as fast as ferrari. probably not. Track is slow but gets lot of things done.

Can ferrari deliver as much heavy stuff to get the job done? probably not. it runs fast and it's fun. It moves you fast but no real work is done.

So pick one.
