Yes, definitely, Yoga does wonders to both - your body and mind.
It is something I'd recommend everybody to at least try out.
Your body will be thankful for doing all the stretches, especially if you sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time.

Try some martial arts, this way you learn something which you can use daily on the streets. It is awesome.
I have been practicing yoga and meditation for years. It helps to keep you balanced - physically and emotionally. There are many yoga postures which help you relax and get rid of several ailments. It is said an hour of deep Meditation gives the body and mind more relaxation than 3 -4 hours of sleep. There are several techniques. Search and Try out simpler ones to start with.
