Is Anyone Familiar With How Youtube Feels About Smoking In Vids

sometimes i smoke in my vids and i just realized today that youtube may not want to partner with me because of it. everything has to be all fairy land with them probably

does anyone have any knowledge about things like this

i mention that i dont drink anymore in some vids, or mention it like in a vid saying something about my life. ill just say one thing im not talking about partying or saying go party or anything. i mean how many adults are there on youtube does it all have to be like Mr Rogers Neighborhood

i think if they wouldnt want to let me monetize im not gonna change my ways, ill just have to deal with no monetiztion and if i can make money from vids some other way ill do that

I found a youtuber that smokes in tons of videos like this one below, so I’m guessing it’s fine

YouTube doesn't really care that much. It's the advertisers it needs to please. Creating a "safe" and good brand image helps it sell more ads.

The sad part is that being “unsafe” could actually be good for certain advertisers too. Like this guy would be perfect for rehab facility ads

Doing something different/taboo/controversial/frowned upon could definitely work in your favour when building a brand because almost no one else is doing it, so that could be your niche. I've never seen someone smoking on youtube besides those "meanwhile in russia" videos so I would definitely watch a youtuber smoking just because of how rare is it.
