The only SEO tool im working with right now is Scrapebox. I would like to add another tool to my arsenal and have been thinking about AMR for a while. I have heard recently that it's not what it used to be and am wondering if its still worth purchasing?

AMR is the best at what it does, so it gets my vote. I also started off with SB, and AMR was my next step. Combining the two tools can be very effective.

Don't overcomplicate yourself. So many tools out there that we get enticed to buying when you can always go for trusted tools like scrapebox/amr which if you know what you're doing that's all you need to dominate keywords. Sure you can buy a dozen other tools but you can stick to classics like these 2 and if you master then you can do SEO for any site just fine.

AMR is still very good but has a wee bit of a learning curve. Once you learn how to use the software you can get a large amount of links instantly, with some more that get approved over time. There is also some great threads here to help you out get the most out of the program. If you're going to buy it, I also believe there is a $20 discount available.

Here are those threads I mentioned:

It is worth buying but post-Panda its effect has reduced significantly. AMR backlinks hardly get indexed unless you push them and even then not a large portion of the backlinks gets indexed. So, it has surely reduced its power recently. And every time I submit I see the success rate going down only with time especially with wp directories almost all of which are showing "not accepting articles" nowadays. Similarly, Article Beach directories are automatically stripping off your links and I have confirmed them in most directories. At the most, they would keep a spammy malformed html link which looks spammy and I have recently filtered out all arb directories to make sure they don't waste my time. There is one more article directory set which hardly gets submitted nowadays. I would need to make sure but it gives you an easy captcha and needs captchas everywhere yet never gets submitted. So, the number of directories and effectiveness is definitely decreasing. And nowadays the article directories do not get updated too as they are requesting everyone to host the database on their own servers/VPS thereby resulting in not keeping the directory list up to date.

My view is that with SB and AMR, what you next need is a plan. These tools are useless if not used or even abused. You can imagine my shock when one of my VA's blasted 4000 AMR directories to a 3 day website!

The tools are only supposed to make work faster to replace common sense. So yes, SB and AMR are good, but your mind is the best SEO tool.

I thought scrapebox had a farily significant learning curve, to do what I needed it to do at least. Do you think AMR or Scrapebox's Learning curve is bigger?

Totally agree. Fuck around with it for awhile.. I mean awhile! And see what works. If you use it wrong, like I see many people are, then yeah it isn't going to work for you
