With search engines evolving, do you think AI-generated content still performs well when it's edited and adds real value? I'd like to hear your experiences.

yeah it still works if u actually edit it properly and add real value, pure unedited ai stuff usually dont rank well anymore.

From my experience, edited AI content with real info still ranks, but pure AI text is weak.

I have seen ai content prfrm well when it is treated as a starting point, not the final draft. whether ai helped make it doesn’t matter as much as editing it, adding original insights, and making it genuinely useful for readers.

You need to edit AI content in order for it to rank. So basically, you still need someone who will generate and then edit manually this type of texts. Otherwise, its bad

If you do it right, AI content is indistinguishable from human made. If you do it right. So yes.

the thing nobody mentions here is google doesnt actually care if its ai or not, they care about whether the page does what searchers want. i've had fully ai drafted stuff rank fine and i've had "human written" articles tank because they were just fluff.

for me the editing part is less about hiding the ai and more about killing the generic filler. ai loves to write those "in todays fast paced world" intros and pad everything out. cut all that, add stuff the model literally cant know... your own test results, screenshots, actual numbers, a hot take. thats what moves the needle.

also depends heavy on the niche. low competition informational stuff you can get away with lighter editing. anything ymyl or competitive and you better have real expertise baked in or it wont hold.

so yeah the thread is right that editing matters but imo people focus too much on "will google catch me" when the real question is just is this page actually better than whats already ranking

Try SpinTax (spintax.net) – it’s quite similar, but isn’t monitored in quite the same way

AI Slop Blog Articles do not really perform. What’s working better is solving an actual problem users have with a tool page and add AI generated texts for keyword grouping

Yeah @BidNomad pretty much nailed the part most people skip. Editing AI content just to make it “less AI” is kinda pointless if the page still says the same 800 words everyone else has. The stuff that holds up usually has some proof baked in... screenshots, pricing checks, small case data, examples, comparisons, whatever. For thin affiliate/info pages, AI draft + lazy edit is basically churn and burn now imo. But AI as a rough writer plus a human adding actual angles still works fine.

Absolutely. If the content is valuable and properly edited by a human AI generated content can still perform very well.

Yeah it still works if you edit it well and make it actually helpfull, dont just post raw AI stuff.

The real problem isnt AI, its publishing the same boring content everyone else has.

It is no longer about AI written content. The problem lies in sameness. If there is anything out there which can replace your final work with 10 other articles without making any difference, the rankinngs will not consider it.
What works is putting in something which only you can put in, that is to say examples, personal opinion, even mistakes which turns it into a Google approve" article.
