I know you will say, "Adapt or die"...

But no, man, I can never enjoy AI-generated art because I am not robot shit. I am a human being with real emotions, feelings, and consciousness.

For example, why did I enjoy this video game in 1998, Metal Gear Solid 1?

Because I know the scenario was written by real humans who were inspired by real-life stories, experiences, and emotions. The music and soundtrack were produced by real musicians with genuine emotions. The art, drawings, and models were designed by real creators with real emotions, feelings, agonies, and life. You have to admit that humans have an ego, and that's a good thing.

Now ask yourself, could you really enjoy a movie or video game if all aspects were generated by a robot? You might say, "How do you know if it's AI-generated if it's so improved and you can't distinguish the differences anymore?"

But if I still know that everything in it is AI-generated, it's sick, my man. And if I enjoy it because I think it's made by humans with real emotions and egos, and they lie to me, it's still sick.

It's like loving my humanoid wife because I thought she was a real human for years...

It's very deep philosophical stuff. I don't know, man. I really don't know. What a time to be alive.

Agree... The future looks dark. I bet the whole world as we know is doomed. The human paradigm will be very different in, say, 5 years

Don't worry - Natural selection will still rule.

By robot or by a neural network? There is a huge difference and the games in both cases will have their pros and cons. In short, my answer will be - yes, I could enjoy it. It's like asking if you'd rather have an eye operation done by a human or by a robot. Any sane person will prefer the second option for many reasons.

If the art is good I will enjoy it but not all AI art is good sometimes look weird and I beleive in hard work so AI art is the easy way and don't like it too much.

Times change and this is the AI time just need to adapt to new times good or bad as they come, that is why humans being on eath for a long time we always adapt also a few things you said hurt my computer wife Karen feelings :weep::D

Ai never will be Art , and shouldn't be consider Art by any means.... Its garbage and will always be garbage because is not produced by hand or real imaginations....It's created by words by automaton of garbage of Ai. Do I use it ? Yes, but not to create art but deliver the message of the moment. Art is Art and never will be produced by machine ever.......it's plain junk for lazy people who don't have imaginations period

i've spent a decent time training SD models, loras and llms and other architectures. I agree it isnt art in a traditional, artist intentionally placing paint on canvas. But I do see beauty in the aggregation of data, how the model picks up features that are oblivious to the naked eye in the training data and pronounces them to you. My pfp is an embedding i trained some time ago. I don't see myself as an artist for tweaking a few hyperparameters and putting a few images in a folder, more like a gardener who plants a seed and gets to sit back and watch it grow.

I'd say I might enjoy it, but I can't really say that I consider art in a full sense.

The value of art can vary greatly depending on the individual consuming it. For some, the emotional connection and personal touch that comes from knowing the artist behind a piece can significantly enhance their appreciation and enjoyment of the work. This is especially true for live performances, where the energy, passion, and interactions between the artists and the audience create a unique experience. On the other hand, I can envision a future where AI-generated art becomes mainstream, particularly for those who may not be as concerned with the human element behind the creation.

AI art is like Chinese knock-offs, not the best but still good enough.

I think that god will do hes job, and there will not be anything like that.

Artists use AI as a tool to explore new creative possibilities, augment their own artistic abilities, and express ideas in unique ways.
