Is AdWords interface seriously this slow to update?

    Got my AdWords account back to good standing yesterday (who would've thought...), and set up a campaign to a website of mine. And while I still have loads to learn especially about the bid optimization, I've learned the basics of the system and get my ads to show up on Google.

    But the thing is, impressions and clicks statistics are not updating at all. I see that there has been some clicks as I see deductions from the available balance, and I've also taken a look at some of the search terms via (TOR) proxy of the country I'm advertising in. But still everything shows zero - is this typical?

    Also, is it possible to somehow check how much the other advertisers are bidding for each keyword? The average CPC given by keyword tool is pretty much useless, but I wouldn't like to pay too much for the clicks.

    The adwords interface is not real time and always takes several hours to update stats.

    One thing you can do to determine CPC before posting a keyword or ad is first customizing your columns. click on the keywords button as soon as you login to display all your different keywords for the campaign. then click on the Columns button right under it and Customize Columns. Look for the Average first page bid and average top display bid columns and add those. then when you go to create new ads, do manual bidding and set the price to $0.01. When the ad goes through and into your campaign listing you should be able to see your price before you actually commit to it.
