Is a .tv domain a bad choice for SEO when all other extensions are taken?

The domain contains a keyword phrase that gets like 100,000 local searches per month according to Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

.com,.net,.org,.info are taken. Should I purchase the .tv domain? The site is going to have videos.

Are those 100,000 searches Broad or Exact?
Cant tell my opinion before knowing that.

40,000 EXACT local monthly searches
74,000 EXACT Global monthly searches

i wouldn't get a .tv unless its related to video.

Try hyphen before going with such extension.

At the end of the day, anything but .com is bad unless you are tar getting a domain for a specific country.

i cant guarentee that, maybe u can research first, before you choose .tv

I have a exactkeyword.tv domain - no hypens.
Ranking on the first/second spots for "exact keyword".

It has no videos on it. If yours is going to have videos, better.

I guess, as long as your SEO is good, you are fine.

PS: i don't like hypens, there is a lot of controversy around them, what's better, what's not, i don't think it's a huge deal having them, I just don't use them to be safe.
