Is a page with no backlinks easy to beat? Even if the domain has alot of Backlinks?

I'm learning keyword research using longtail pro / SEMrush and I found a keyword with decent volume where no pages in the SERP have more than a couple backlinks, however a few root domains have a couple hundred. The pages also have <15 trust flow.

Also no one targets the keyword, they just target a similar phrase that is related but not the same.

Maybe this is an example of a good keyword with low competition? I remember lightningblitz said somthing about false positives with KC, maybe this is an example of that

That depends, does that page have KW's that all the other pages on the website also have or does that page have unique KW compared to the rest of the website?

If the answer on the last question is yes, then yeah it is fairly easy to beat!

If yes is the answer to the first question then it will be pretty fucking hard!

Get a trial Moz account and through your inner page / subdomain into their competition checker and you will know how hard its going to be. There are so many tools around these days that dive into deep on-page and off page seo characteristics that it takes most of the guess work out. Cheers
