I think it's better to outsource some work at freelancer sites.

For example, I would pay you $4 per article (450+ words) with specified niche/keywords.

I know your just looking for advice but it's not the smartest thing telling everyone an exploitable niche your going to get some competition.

reward sites are dead if you ask me.

Invest your money in a more solid model.

Beware of being scammed if you're going to build a GPT site

I run a GPT site and it does well, but there is a TON of competition. There are already a number of sites who have a firm grasp on the niche and it takes some work to get your site up there. They can be profitable don't let people get you wrong, but make sure you have a nice twist to yours.. make it unique and you'll be successful.

Good luck! (even though you're in my niche :D)

GPT sites are pretty much dead and there isn't much money in them.

It's been a while (infact years I think), since I did these, but IMO you are wasting your time.

For starters, you need money up front. If you intend to give out prizes, then often you can get away with a smaller amount to begin with, because usually people won't be cashing out within the first month. If you are paying straight cash, then usually there is a lower threshold e.g. a $50 cash prize instead of a $300 Xbox360. So people very well make it to the threshold in the first month.

You have to remember aswell that most networks pay on a net 30 basis. So after you launch your site, you have up to 2 months before you get any money to pay people out. During this time you will need to be able to front the cash yourself, or tell your users that you will pay them on net15, once a month, or whatever other method you want to delay the payment.

You also have to be sure that you have a large enough group of CPA Networks that allow both incentivisation, and if you are going that route, cash prizes. Not every network is happy with cash incentives. You also have to be aware, that ones that do, are often dodgy as hell. And are usually the ones that take the longest to pay. Networks that pay weekly with low thresholds, or are happy to give you early payout, are often the ones that DON'T allow incentivisation. And for good reason, the reason they can give you such early payouts is because without incentivising offers, there is low risk in the offers backing out.

I personally ran a GPT cash incentive site to begin with that ran on a custom script. Most people use FSR but IMO you need to customize your site enough so it stands out from the crowd. You have to remember that you are competing against people like CashCrate which not only have a huge reputation of paying, they also have better offers than you, and can pretty much beat your payouts everytime.

Later on I dabbled giving away prizes that are often not given away. Rapidshare accounts, Megaupload accounts, things of that nature that people want, and are pretty happy to do mindless things for. Aswell as that, because the threshold is so low for these items, It stirs people on to go harder rather than aiming for some impossible prize like a 360.

Another thing you have to remember, is that the very offers you are giving out. Like email submits etc, are GPT sites aswell. If you are giving away a free xbox 360, chances are a free submit on a network that allows cash incentive is also the same type of site. So make sure you check the offers you are running so that competing sites don't get a piece of your pie.

Advertising wise, there is literally hundreds of GPT forums out there so you shouldn't have a problem with that. IMO you need to actively monitor the site however, because people ALWAYS sign up, and then sign up again as a referral of their original account. So they are making money on their second account, and then making an extra 15% or whatever on the first account.

Don't do a PTC because you just get chinese people signing up in their droves with people getting 600 referrals in a day.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I think it is a much more competitive game now than it was 2 years ago or so.

who said Rewards Site is dead? http://www.points2shop.com/

do you know that you can bring the rewards platform directly onto social media platform like Facebook? No FSR or custom scripts to meddle with.
