So I got paid on a monthly basis to rent out my ad account to someone.

Didn't expect it to last forever... but it got disabled within 2 months and then he went MIA.

Now I'm left with a fan page with a couple hundred fans.

If I post anything, will the posts still show up in the feeds - or is the fan page hidden after the ad account is now banned?

Would it be pointless to change the fan page to a new website I am developing?

TL;DR - how do I make monies from a fan page after a guy got my ad account banned.

Fanpages are not affected when the ad account is banned. You simply can't advertise with your ad account anymore.

Btw: a couple hundred fans are not much - just start over with a fresh account.

It's not much, but these are *real* fans. He spent about $150+ or so to get them, so it would just be a waste to let it sit there.

If fan pages aren't affected as you say, then maybe I could start promoting some Amazon stuff that's relevant and see if I get any clicks.

Can you elaborate... if the ad account is banned, how can I still run ads on that fan page from another account? Wouldn't Facebook see the connection and then ban the other account?

Sure, you can try using orcanig reach - but it's fucked up and won't show your post to everyone unless you're paying - that's why a couple hundred fans are nothing.

Just connect another ad account via business manager to this page.

You have to link a new account to the fanpage and create the ads through there, I dont think Facebook will have a problem with that, since your account was banned for other activity and not the activity of your fanpage.

It's for advertising on Facebook. You can do it through any Facebook account.

the two are not linked together, you can have, grow and monetize your fan page with no problems even if you don't have an ads account. Also you can make another account and give yourself admin right to the new account and use the ads from there if you want to..

    Thanks for answering!

Have another dumb question - so I was reading about the Business Manager and I just tried it out by following the instructions here:
    Code:
    https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1428785834029669
And I managed to create a NEW ad account through that using a company name.

Under accounts I still see my personal account (which was banned earlier), but now there's a new ad account that looks fresh.

Can I actually advertise through this ad account? I'm not seeing any "your account is disabled" anywhere on this. I'm so confused.

haha, haven't seen that done before :) it might work though, try and see what happens, you cannot get your ads account even more banned than it already is :)

LOL!! Well you never know....as soon as I create a test ad, it might ban me again... then I'd be double banned from ads manager AND business manager!

I don't want to risk money to advertise right now, but if anyone reading this thread has a banned ad account - please try the business manager out and report back if it works!
