IQ and EQ? Something to truly give a f**k about?

I've never had a real IQ test before, but from what I've seen on the internet I suspect that I have a low IQ because I'm not a mathematical/logical person. It takes me time to think things through especially when it comes to logic and maths. I've recently also found out about EQ which apparently is emotional intelligence. I've taken an online test and I seem to have gained a below average EQ score which is rather depressing when looking at both my IQ suspicion and the EQ result. By the way I just had a deja vu about writing this thread. All in all although I feel somewhat puzzled about these two things I don't really give a f**k about them. Should I be worried?

PS. For anyone interested the EQ test was taken here:

PSS. I started thinking about this after reading a post on BHW.

I have an above average IQ but it really doesn't matter. Sure, with a high IQ you can do well in science, math, engineering, etc. but if you really want to live a well-rounded and successful life EQ is just as important. Look at all the richest people in the world - EQ is much more important than IQ if your goal is to enjoy life and make money.

I don't think online tests are the most accurate way to test for this sort of stuff.

My goal is obviously to enjoy life as much as I can, I'm just curious whether I should really care about these results? I guess online tests are not accurate at all, but they can be helpful to some extent?

you should take a real iq test, they are more accurate. i had one, scored 135 IQ with 17. But before i was getting in, i had the following thoughts: even if its worse, i dont giva F*+# !!! intelligence alone without using it, is the worst thing.

It really amuses me how everyone says he's "above average". I guess it's kind of like everyone considering themselves "above average" when driving.

What do I think? I don't give a shit about my IQ, my EQ or my FQ or whatever. If I can make more money than other people, fuck more girls and be happier then I'm better. Period.

I have Superior IQ. Or more accurately scored in the superior range.

I took a psychological assessment. It was done by a psychiatrist.
    It was expensive... like $1500.
    It lasted 5 hours.

It just means that you have a knack for finding solutions.
It does not mean you have a photographic memory or that you know everything.

But I would rather have someone with normal IQ and hard worker
than someone with superior IQ and lazy.

There is nothing worse than a lazy genius.

No absolutely nothing to worry about. Life's not about having that one point of IQ more than someone else, life's about happiness and getting the stuff done you need to get done. If everything works out well for you, there's no reason at all to worry.
And look my cousin is intellectually disabled, but he's the nicest and most helpful guy you can imagine. Isn't that worth a lot more than intelligence? If you ask me, I say it is.

Edit: Just have read again what I wrote and to make it clear: I wasn't trying to imply that you are intellectually disabled too. Just to make sure you don't get me wrong.

If your IQ isn't as high as it could be,you could actually raise it by doing a few things such as exercising more and eating right.

    Don't worry.

I have a large IQ; it's given me a flexible job and the freedom to do the things in life i want to do. I'm successful compared to most of my peers but not compared to some of them.

The sad fact is i know people who are thick as shit, horrible people and the worst sort of person you'd ever be around who got lucky in business and made a killing. I also know people with an IQ of over 150 who work on a checkout because they're overqualified for most places and whilst they could set up and run a successful business, they cannot get an idea to start it.

IQ isn't an indicator of success, only academic success (hence why i do the job i do). If i had an IQ of 80 i could spend 3 years of my life reading every investment banking book ever written and ace a wall street trader entrance exam and go straight into that elite and be substantially richer than my peers.

Hence, it's not about emotion or intelligence. Just drive. Even on BHW we get absolute idiots who can barely speak coherently who manage to make thousands through IM.

    Go figure ^^

IQ tests online are not accurate ...besides, EQ is nowadays more important than IQ if you look at success in business and happiness in life ;)

and you can train yourself to become better at the things you do so a "low" IQ is not something which should prevent you from getting rich or something (i'd say many many rich guys are NOT geniusses, right?! ;) )
