IPRental / Mac / Proxy Question/s

Hello, I'm new to ip proxies but quickly learning my stuff. I only run macs at my house, my question is does anyone know of system like IP Rental for mac, or how I could run completely anonymously on the web for uploading. I was trying basic HTTP proxies through my browser, but the connection ran slow and I was reading that it does not really mask your true identity and can easily catch if spamming.

What are some solutions for me?

If your activity is not legal you'd probably better not use a private proxy!
In that case maybe use Tor ? (yes slow .. but secure)

If you need anonymity Tor is the most secure way to gain it you can find on the internet at this time.
Except if you're an expert in the dark arts, then you won't need it.

But Tor will most likely be too instable and slow for most jobs. If you just need untraceable anonymity without any bandwidth requirements it's the easiest and probably safes way to go.
