Here is the deal, The iPhone has a digitizer on top and then the LCD. If it is the Digitizer broken or busted then you can order it for like 25 bucks. Very simple to remove and replace. If it is the LCD you will spend 80+ on it and it is even simpler to replace. I have repaired around 5 and its pretty simple, you just remove the two screws on bottom of iphone then use a suction cup or the supplied tools that come with the part to pull the screen up. Once its up you disconnect the wires and the remove screws on the side to release the lcd. There are detailed instructions all over net.
