Yep, I'm using them. A good improvement over speed, yes. Still, not one of the best, but good if you're starting out.

I would never choose a hosting service that offers "Fully-loaded hosting with unlimited space" , this phrase screams from far away that they want to sell as much as possible. I use a small hosting company from England for 3 years now, they tell you your real disk space and your real bandwidth and they also reply very fast to support tickets. I would advise you to search on web hosting talk for the best offer, that also has reviews from old members there.

1, buy hosting for a month and Test
    2. I tried and very bad experience
    Never again EIG.
Take a tip from Almenocinque and if possible always buy hosting for one month.

The issue with majority of those old host is, old hardware, overselling/overloading and poorly constructed servers. In the current modern world, it's very important that you get a web hosting on SSD along with a good webserver like LiteSpeed or Nginx which can drastically help you to improve your performance. Most companies doesn't wanna invest in modern hardware as they're already making a lot of money. So typically make sure to look for a hosting which has a good hardware if you're looking for speed, specially on the shared hosting environment.

I don't recommend ipage either. It's better to host your site with small companies. What is so special about small ones are they try their level best to give you the nicest support they can whereas these filthy big liars are just busy selling unlimited disk space and bandwidth. There's no such thing as unlimited disk space & bandwidth.
