can i change my ip address by driving around and using other people's unsecured wifi connections? To create multiple digg accounts for example.

yes it will work but more and more people are securing there wifi now. For each one you find that is open keep track of them so you can visit them again and again.

yes it would work each wi-fi has it's own ip address but good luck finding unsecure wifi connections there is a few but not many now people are becoming more aware.

It works. I used to do something like this a long time ago.
Just go to APT complexes... if it is a decent size complex you should be able to pull some good IPs.

Apt complexes are a great place for doing this. In my area though, the AT&T DSL routers are getting too popular, and they are all secure. (New ones are even WPA). You'll still find a ton of open "Linksys" APs though.
You should probably mask your MAC address as well, depending on what you are doing.

War driving is great, going around your neighborhood to find these unsecured wifi,
If they secure it, well, find tools to break those security

Make sure you delete all cookies before doing this, just for precaution

I usually go to malls having free hotspots, the speeds suck though

This does work well around an apartment complex. I tested it out with both an ipod touch and laptop. I found you get a better signal from the ipod touch. If your planning on doing some fake cpa submits just make sure your website is built around local info. Say a "Town" business or events directory. This will help keep your submits generating from a select area legit. Just don't get greedy If your affiliate manager questions your advertising method say local newspapers ads, or door hanger ads.

Why don't you just use proxies...? It's so much easier than wasting gas money to drive around creating digg accounts. You do realize that once you make the account, you'll have to login from it again? They'll ban hammer all of them if they see a connection in the IPs.
