Invisible Backlinks

    I see this a lot and I dont understand it. Ill analyze a sites backlinks and see some from another site (usually they own the other site). Ill scan the page up and down unable to find the back link. Its just not on the page. Then Ill do Ctrl + U to analyze the source and ill see the backlink is still there and intact. Yet its never to be found on the page.

    What does this mean

    You can find such links on Sape sites. They are hidden mostly.

    A second possibility is that the link was there but it was removed and the backlink checker tool didn't update it's database.

    Sape is a Russian operated link network. Search the forum and you will see people selling these links.

    and there network have wide range of sellers with whole wide range of websites .. it is been told that its what makes google hard to catch it.

    Indeed, they're most likely SAPE links. People who say SAPE is dead have no clue what they're talking about, and are just spreading rumors..

    Actually it's not correct. According to Sape's rules all links have to be visible and website might be banned from using marketplace if someone complains.
    So, I believe approximately 20% of Sape links are hidden, they're not bad and I use them for my own websites.

    May be they are displayed inside some tabs within that page.
