Investing? Best Way to Go About It?

So I am what you would call a "Lurker". I come to this site because of the good insights and great/helpful people but never contribute because I just want my information and leave. I know - it's slutty, lol. Nevertheless, I find myself in a unusual but nice situation. I have an aged website with loads of content that is normally locked up but want to open it up in the IM industry. Short story - where can I find people who are interested in a investor capacity that would be open to a demo of what I have to offer?

If this is in the wrong section I will remove it ASAP. I looked around and it seemed to be an appropriate choice because of the casualness of it.

In short... You are searching for investors? You are going to use an aged website to find these investors? I guess I will give you the common answer for targeted traffic. Keyword research is a must and research your competitors. Once research is done on your competitors.. Just do what they do better. Hope this answered your question.

Sorry about that. I maybe I should of worded it differently, but basically I need to know where (if a place exist) I can find people willing to hear a pitch about a website they could profit from, once some clean up is done. Become a partner and take equity in with monthly residuals. Hope that clarifies that I just need capital to help get it going.

If such sites existed then all the scammers on the internet would be there hustling daily. There are sites where you can pitch your ideas for rowd funding, but if you are not soo great a sales person, as 99% of the people who use them and fail are, then I'd go with actually trying to talk to businesses related to the niche in my area to drum up start up buzz. In short, unless you are advertising this on local tv for business opportunities, then no one is going to give a fuck about it at all. This is the harsh reality that we face, no one cares because we have too much to do and care about already.Why would they part money with you for a idea or a chance to shine without first having you sign over some collateral or have some degree of business schooling or success in the field. They want proof that you arent going to run away with their money.

Honestly it smells like a scam to me. It may not be, but from my perspective it smells like a grab n go scheme that has plagued every form of "cheap" investments industry for thousands of years. Some of the questions I've thrown at you are vital for building up a proposal and trying your hand at grabbing some capital from loans and banks. You can argue that there are willing risk takers out there, but risk takers with money are few and far between, especially for a website that might just be earning money from Adsense or Affiliation.

I am not sure where the "scam" part is coming from. I just wanted to know if there is a place I can get started, I am sure this is a touchy subject but I just want information on how to go about it the right way. Thus, me not asking for money.
