Hopefully someone is using an inventory management software for a Mac here that is decent.

I sold an ecommerce site am am closing on it tomorrow (yeah a little short notice for some help - I'm a clown) and want to set the buyer up with an inventory management software that is not too cumbersome.

We have been using a PC for that and have a 144 dozen alternatives for that but the buyer only uses a Mac and I have not found anything simple and good that has any real reviews.

So, if you guys manage any inventory on your Mac using software please give me some suggestions.

Beers on @I know SEO for helping me out.

What software/system is the store built in?

Most e-commerce software will handle this itself but it can be tricky to set up. Unless you're managing a warehouse of stock it should do the job. I managed 500k catalogue items and 35000 in house stock items in magento with very little messing around and a cron job.

Why don't use a web application for it? Buy a script or WP plugin on Codecaynon. Cheap, easy to setup and you can reach it anywhere.

The issue is plugging this into the ecom software.

My house mate is a supply chain manager for home retail group in the UK. He manages inventory and logistics for 80,000 shipping containers per year in the UK.

Amazon for example have a redundancy of 80 items, for example if they say they have 1 item in stock they actually have 80.

It's a huge industry, fucking massive and it's full of holes and you could be a legit mega millionaire if you solved it (machine learning is the answer). I don't know what kind of volume BTB is doing but unless it's at the point where you need a warehouse, the internal features of most e-commerce software will get you could covered.

It is woocommerce but she wants something that is not directly tied to the site so she can calculate the asset value on a separate platform.

I'm not too concerned about the cost as I want to do right by her.

I would probably look at accountancy software then.

I've never used WooCom for physical items. However it should be able to output sku numbers and quantity of stock in a csv and the an accountancy package should be able to handle the rest.

alternatively if Woo lets you import cost/price you're a custom plugin away from you're answer at worse case scenario.

Thanks, she needs a one off piece of software and those are all monthly subs.

I could put something together for her in Excel that would do the trick as Inventory management at this level is not a major deal but I'd like to give her something that is pretty when she opens it and simple as can be as I am going to give her free consultation for a period of time after the sale.

I did a piss poor job of planning this aspect of the sale.

I don't mind helping, let me do some research and I'll see if I can find a software that meets your requirements. Give me a few minutes and I'm sure I'll come across something. You're just essentially seeking a desktop-based software (a one-time purchase with no monthly or recurring billing).

After doing some research, I'm shocked to see how limited the options are for Mac users that need "standalone" inventory management software. I wasn't actually able to find any available software's that met the "standalone" requirement. With that said, there are a couple of other options (Even though they'd be directly tied to the site):

Import & Export add-on - You have the option of exporting all of your inventory data from the database to a CSV file.
