Is Amazon the Benedict Arnold of the Internet? On Tuesday, October 4, 2011 Amazon e-mailed its former affiliates in California to invite them back into their web of affiliate commissions. Amazon stands ready to start paying commissions to affiliates who drove traffic to purchase on Amazon's website. This is a very limited offer as Amazon our new Benedict Arnold has agreed to begin paying California sales and use tax in September of 2012.
Amazon's Internet tax deal prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that their affiliate partners have the same status as a prostitute! They have absolutely no interest in a committed long-term affiliate relationship when it comes to sales tax conflict. Not only have they acquiesced to a backroom deal in California, it was announced their newest effort will involve working to ask the federal Congress to pass a national internet sales tax collection law. Corporately Amazon has no interest in following constitutional law that is affirmed by a 1992 Supreme Court ruling. What will be the tipping point to awaken small Internet business enterprises? We can think Amazon for uncloaking and showing us they have now morphed into a killer worm to destroy the organic Internet business model. They have now joined the box stores like Wal-Mart and Target to destroy our business community. Their battle plan is like Sherman's march to the sea in the Civil War as they want to destroy and plunder business in every state, not just California.

The Internet business nation does not have millions of dollars to lobby our cause, but we do have something even Amazon and the box stores don't. We elect the officials there lobbyist feed on. Working together, we can prevail and place the tax pigs on a diet.

I am surprised at no real comment on this subject this will become a growing concern for all of us as they start to tax the internet.

Well i doesn't matter who you vote there. The lobbiers still got the cash to buy who they want.

I read some quote "if you voting could make a change it would be illegal" or something like that, you get the point. But now its even better people think they can make the change :p no need to riot like in middle east.

It was only a matter of time before online businesses started coming under the gun. They are going to suck all the freaking money they can out of us.

There is only one problem... a lot of us have a lot of tools at our disposal than most politicians. And it's only a matter of time before they piss off too many marketers.

What's funny is that political campaigns are only starting to get a clue about social media and online video. I was watching a segment on PBS where they were teaching interns about how Faceobook. The content was pretty laughable and useless.

I would truthfully like to see 2012 become an election that is 100% controlled by grass roots, politicians being exposed, and large media losing its strangle hold on coverage.

Amazons Internet Tax War
In the history of war one of the primary characters is Benedict Arnold. Amazon has uncloaked itself to reveal that it is the modern-day equivalent of Mr. Arnold.
For those whose hard drive doesn't store revolutionary history, let me remind you that Benedict Arnold betrayed the revolutionary army in our effort to win our freedom from England. The good news is Benedict Arnold's betrayal did not prevent us from victory.
Early in our new century Amazon has become a modern-day Benedict Arnold as the Internet business nation fights the lawbreakers attempting to impose Internet sales and use tax across state lines. Conventional wisdom says that Paul Revere is dead. He rode through the streets of Concorde to warn us the redcoats were coming. Who is Paul Revere of modern-day times? Amazon is now marching on Washington, DC to offer its affiliates as sacrifice in the effort to collect sales tax in every nook and cranny of this nation. To hell with the Constitution says Amazon!
Supplying Amazons war effort to assist the federal tax pigs is a multi-million-dollar supply core of lobbyists.
Drunk with the elixir of winning their conflict in California and cutting a backroom deal to salvage their affiliates for one more year Amazon is now empowered to uncloak. They have revealed they are willing to assist in feeding all hogs of tax.
What happens when you put food in a hog trough? It gets eaten! It is guaranteed that Amazon in feeding the tax hogs will in the end cost all of us billions of dollars.
America has responded to Paul Revere's message and prevailed. At the present we have yet to even hear Paul Revere's message, much less respond. The tax hogs are at the gate! Do you care? If you don't care, it is certain the hogs will eat Junior.

here is some more news for you guys
