I feel that I do not know where, what or how to get into affiliate marketing in regards to the best industry and when it is that industry, what are the best resources of that industry? I feel my time, and my skills are valuable to this filed and I've heard and known people with less talent that have made it online, not as if they shouldn't, but what I am saying is, if they can, I defiantly can. Whats the best? How do I start? How can my skills help me?

I've been trying to post this for some time and was written way better than this. Sorry, but BHW keeps saying something in my post was flagging it, like I am posting links or selling something. I am new here. Basically I am a web designer, video producer, internet marketer. I can do basic static sites and squeeze pages really and word press I do all these things as a Realtor, and have done well in real estate, but I think my savyness can be used to make money online. I am open to any industry, even adult entertainment or gambling if it makes money. Legal of course. I am a good copy writer, I understand SEO but dont really practice it. I can do sms, qr, mobile, ppc, all that stuff. I feel I should be making money through my skills and joined this site to learn more and share.

Best industry is the industry you are most interested in. Not only will the "obvious" niches be there for you but you will uncover several sub niches that might have low competition yet high searches based on your genuine interest in the topic.

Agreed Getwhatchuwant, but driving traffic seems to be an issue, and time consuming. I mean, real estate is really competitive and I rely on old fashioned methods to get me business, but when it comes to marketing a home, I am top notch, I do not get my biz from website traffic though. I see industrys that are lowly competitive according to Google KW tool, but is it all about a well designed site, SEO for 12 months in order to get traffic? I see people killing in the the adult world, like getting men to sign up to dating sites and stuff. I don't know, seems there are better ways out there than having to battle SEO tactics for 2 years

It does not take 2 years, this is why I say you must have a genuine interest.

if you LOVE the topic you will have alot to say about the topic. The more you say the more long tail keywords you will rank for which will be easier to rank for. Then of course you can write similar subjects as a guest poster on blogs and web 2.0's for links. Also since you know "real" business it takes a couple dollars, if you have those you can outsource web design for just a couple of hundred right here on BHW and you can also buy press releases which can generate traffic on day 1 as well as give you some white hat authority type links pointing to your site.

But without the love of what you are doing and the willingness to sit down and write pages of content you likely wont go far regarding organic seo. I you DO have that love and desire for your niche you will be able to overcome this....
