I don't know if anyone else will find this interesting but recently I noticed something in the Google UK dance...

One of my sites has been dancing from page #1 to page #50+ (nothing new here as I just built a lot of links)

If I search for the keyword my site appears nowhere,
but if I search for the keyword and miss spell it by adding any letter to the end of the keyword (keywordx or keywordw, any letter really is does not matter) my site appears for its keyword on page one at #4.

I thought this was interesting because when you search for something and it is spelt wrong, Google automatically shows you the results for the correct spelling,
I also thought this was interesting because some days I search for my keyword without miss spelling it and my site is #4.

So maybe when Google corrects the miss spelling it is showing serp results after a dance, and when my site stops dancing it will remain at #4??

I'm a bit unsure about your discovery as Google see keyword and keywordx as 2 different queries.

So you can dance over one but not on the second.

However, i noticed also something related and i'm still waiting for concrete results to be sure about it.

It is dealing with Google (pages from UK only) and Google.co.uk (all the web), i noticed that the dance is fixed sooner on pages from UK only and generally the results are grossly the same. (difference 10 places when you aez over 50th in rankings and difference of 2 places when you are on the first page)
Basically, i feel like i'm almost able to predict the outcome of a dance a few days before it happens in google.co.uk whole web.

It may be completly wrong though, i have noticed it a few times but it might be just a coincidence.

i see your point about 2 different queries but Google returns the result as the correct spelling automatically, you have to choose to search for the miss spelling so it is treating it as only 1 query

    "Showing results for key word"
    "Search instead for key wordx"

also I get this result with more than one keyword..

Oh Sorry didn't understand that. I got what you meant.

Have you ever been 4th before ? Could it be an old cache version of the page served by Google ?

It may be something interesting indeed.

I don't think its a cache as I altered the title and description to check and it is showing the new title/description
