Integrate cryptocurrency into the forum system

It's no secret I think cryptocurrency should be integrated into BHW. I got myself a penalty for launching a black hat crypto a few years ago.

I think the old "rep" system should come back and be replaced by a black hat cryptocurrency where actual money is moved between members.

Also this crypto could be used to pay for stuff on the forum, subscriptions, marketplace and so on.

The most expensive part of a crypto project is to create a community. BHW already is a community, all we gotta do is add a token on top of a new platform like AVAX and it becomes instantaneous payments.

tl;dr; requesting a Black Hat crypto integrated with BHW!

Similar to how Reddits /r/CryptoCurrency moons work. People who get likes/rep get a certain distribution of the tokens.

I had a idea before but thought all would laugh at it. Here’s what I had:

DD ties up with a crypto exchange and makes BHW token, this token is tied to funds generated by BHW, a set criteria for free tokens, and buy the tokens, if a member wants to reward someone they can buy that token and gift it, and the member can sell it on that exchange

cons:

managing an token is not easy, it’ll require funding to make, keep, answer all queries.

Donno the specifics, just wanted to send the idea out. Tie it into the system, like rep. You "tip" others, use it, trade it, etc.

The tokenomics for this wouldn't even need to be very complex in order to unlock some pretty significant benefits for both users and the forum.

Allowing some sort of governance mechanism would be a no brainer, obviously not for critical decisions, but for things that directly impact UI. Also token holders could vote on a weekly/monthly reward of minted tokens given to someone that creates fan art of BHW, BHW memes, other forms of creative value.

For it not to turn into a shitcoin it would need to have some connection to tangible value, and the supply and demand for it would have to be designed well. Creating a community crypto would be cool. Creating a shitcoin that has no value wouldn't be, in fact it would probably damage BHW.

But there's upteen ways to infuse value into it without them necessarily needing to be "token => financial value", in fact the best benefits would be business related utilities that aren't tied to a dollar sum at all.

I'm responding to this since it never received a closure notice back when it was posted.

BTC is already accepted as payment if you contact support.blackhatworld.com. As for actually implementing it, I believe this is something that's coming with BHW Marketplace 2.0, although I can't say for certain.
