Yeah I know it's probally the simplest thing in the world. But every theme I install something doesn't show up right. All you do is get a new themes file and upload it into the themes folder via ftp right? Like the last one installed came up with :

Warning: include(/home/edited/public_html/wp-content/themes/p2.1.0.3/inc/JSON.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/edited/public_html/wp-content/themes/p2.1.0.3/functions.php on line 15

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/edited/public_html/wp-content/themes/p2.1.0.3/inc/JSON.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/edited/public_html/wp-content/themes/p2.1.0.3/functions.php on line 15

    What's wrong?

Did you upgrade your wordpess to 2.7.1 as well? I think that's what it is now.

    Are you using PHP4?

Have you checked to see if that functions.php file is actually in the themes folder on your website? You have to upload the entire theme folder into there so check that all the files in the theme did actually upload. If not, then something about your ftp program is screwing it up.

There are different transfer modes in an ftp program such as Auto,ASCII,Binary and sometimes this causes problems if you choose the wrong one.

Maybe you should use the file manager to upload if you have cpanel.

If you're using hostgator, just upload it in cpanel.

Upload the theme into the themes directory, and then click on it and choose "extract." It will create a new folder and put all the files into that folder. Then go into your WP Dashboard and load it.
