Instagress has officially announced they've closed down.

Do you think using other bots is a risk at the moment?

Is this another move for Instagram to make you spend your money through them the improve reach/engagement?

    What are your thoughts?

COPIED AND PASTED FROM THEIR SITE

Sad news to all of you who fell in love with Instagress: by request of Instagram we were forced to close our web-service that helped you so much in your Instagram journey. We are all very sad of that but it looks like there is nothing we can do at the moment
Activity of all your accounts was automatically stopped during this shutdown process.

Stop trying to make sensational titles, this doesn't affect 2 biggest bots, MP and FL.

Do you not think those other bots will be affected? I'm not trying to make a sensational title but want to see if it's wise using other bots at the moment.

Instagram has started a war against bots and engagement groups.
That's not a case many users using engagement groups was affected by shadow ban.
    The party is over guys.

Aren't you guys used to this kind of stuff? I mean, the rules of the IM & SEO game changes all the time. Google, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram make changes all the time.

Lord no. We're just moving to the inevitable end game of this whole thing: eventually, this whole thing will fragment to the point where we're all running our own custom bots, and it'll be impossible for them to track the individual footprints.

This is great news for people like @SethTurin and @nuaru :)

I understand that but I think people like myself who aren't good with the software/programming side of things can sometimes heavily rely on these bots.

Just thought it was quite big that Instagress has a huge name and Instagram finally got them down, I suppose there's always a risk using any bot.

Stop trying to make it a very big deal. Instagress was just easy to use but not the best one. Open your eyes & mind and you will see there are much better systems/tools still up and running.

Which other ones would you recommend that are safe to use? I wasn't overly making a big deal my point was do you think this will be the start of other popular bots getting shut down

I'll try to make this easier for you. I see a lot of people asking for "what's safe" and "guarantees". No one, let me repeat, not a single person on this forum...

    (letting that sink in)

...can guarantee safety or success. All they can tell you is what works at the moment. A lot of people are trying to avoid failure. You can't. Failure happens. I'm not saying you specifically, but I think a lot of people asking for these types of things just want to take the responsibility off their shoulders if things go south and have someone to blame.

Don't give yourself that out. Ask for peoples' opinions on a product, but accept responsibility for your purchase decisions. It's a lot more freeing to know that you are completely responsible for your own success or failure.

Anyone who tries to guarantee you success or safety is flat out lying to you, or trying to get your money and flat out lying to you. Again, this wasn't targeted at you specifically, perhaps I misinterpreted your wording, but this is for anyone who is seeking guarantees.

I completely agree I do take responsibility for all my accounts I think that's why it's hard when you leave it in the hands of a bot. Great reply though thanks.

    This many times over.

People who ask, will XYZ be safe, is ABC ok to do. No one knows for sure. All they can do is use their experience and make a guess. Can I follow 100 a day. Well yes, I have done it. However, that does not mean you can follow 100 people every day 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But maybe that is fine, maybe the site being botted has a hard limit of 101 follows a day before a block. But then the site changes and sets the limit to 99 and you get a block. "Why your bot not working, I have been doing this since last year with no problems"...

Botting is not static, it is dynamic, things change from week to week sometimes day to day. It is a cat and mouse game of you trying to get away with what you shouldn't and the site trying to catch the most prolific, those who push it too far, those who annoy, those who take the piss. What works today, may not work tomorrow and may even get you banned. People are always asking for the limit, for the most they can do without a ban, without think the limit may change. Knowing that, perhaps there is money to be made going hard and fast, banking before the ban comes. But if you are in it for the long term, you need to be well below any daily limit, weekly limit, monthly limit, fly well under the radar and you might be safe.

If you want to be 100% safe, if you want guarantees. Well close the bot down and you "should" be ok.

Exactly! I don't use bots on any of my brand accounts. I make other accounts and bot those. If one of them rises to the top, start throttling down some of the botting to keep it nice, cozy and safe.

Bots can and will be used in the future, but at the heart of it it's always a human - you, dear Blackhathworlder - controlling and managing the bots. It's up to you to use your mind to be creative and think up ways to use bots effectively, without getting you noticed and wrecked by Instagram. I've been using MP successfully for a good while now, the trick is to make it look natural and not keep settings static or predictable just because it's easy to set-and-forget them.

As horrid as the interface is, and as complicated as it is, I love TweetAttacksPro 4 because it is so easy to create a nearly random feeling schedule in it. The program is so complicated that you would probably actually have trouble creating a trackable footprint in it because there are just way too many overlapping settings in it. Of course, that's only useful for Twitter.
