am newbie in this IM field so my question might be retarded
but lets pick 1M instagram followers as a currency and lets name it xyz as an example
so today in 2019 i bought 1 xyz for 1k $

*Two Years Later*

Hi bhw now its 2021 and i wanna sell the 1 xyz that i have so for how much i can sell it now ? is it gonna stay the same or gonna worth more ? or the opposite ?

So if after two years you gain 200 Followers you will have 200 Followers more.

1M Instagram followers don't say much, is gonna be more about the engagement and the quality of the followers

You can have 10m followers and still they could be worthless. I've seen 50k accounts make more money than 500k accounts. It all comes down to the quality and loyalty of your followers.

Followers will increase in value, because it will become harder and harder to bot IG. (the trend is obvious right now.)

On the other hand, if you don't bot, there shouldn't be much difference. Of course imagine that with time, the market will get saturated more and more as well.

If you don't post quality content, people don't engage with your post. When they don't engage, they stop seeing the posts from that account. Reach does down overall due to poor engagement. Number of followers is just an eye warmer.

Right now the cost of IG followers is between $1.2 - $1.7 per 100 followers. With the recent IG limits and harder difficulty in botting, I wouldn't be surprised if the prices increase significantly in the coming months. In that sense you could metaphorically say that IG followers is an appreciating currency. But it's really not a currency in its technical definition, so you should probably find another word to prevent confusion.

yes that what i meant the instagram game gonna be harder to get followers using bot so i said yeah maybe followers value will increase in the next years
