    Hey everybody,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Recently got an email from crowdfire but i'm using followliker. They sent me an email that says the following:

"On June 1st, Instagram will be rolling out changes to its policy that would apply for all third party products including Crowdfire.

Hence, after June 1, 2016, you would see the below changes:

    1. No more Copy Followers on Instagram: None of the apps including Crowdfire can provide this feature for Instagram users anymore."

This seems to be a new instagram rule but does anyone know if this effects followliker bot at all? We bought the software which is unlike the crowdfire app which is subscription base...

    Any update would be great.

    Thanks for your help!

Hopefully, this is the only restriction that Instagram will apply

I think Instagram is doing this in order to drive more towards their paid ad service which can drill down and target specific interests, etc

I don't mind as long as it is the only change they will implement.

This will not have any affect on Followliker and Massplanner, both software use the private API, like you do manually on a phone.

Crowdfire and the apps that are mentioned here are using the public API, and so far Instagram have been allowing these apps to run to 1st of June. From this date they will be much more strict on which apps will gain privileges such as following and unfollowing.

Thanks or the answer alxmax, I figured it would be that way since we are licensed with this softare but my question then is because it's a private API, could we banned from instagram because we, individually, are violating their "rules" by using the software in this manner?

Yes, you can be banned for using these software - The software is clearly against the Instagram TOS. People get banned every day for using them. I believe Instagram knows pretty well which accounts are botting - those accounts that runs more than a few hours every day is a great guess at first :) Instagram do have an interest in keeping botting accounts alive, unless they are spamming. Our accounts are interacting with people, bringing them back in to Instagram and bringing the users back in to use more time, means more money in Instagrams pockets, so this is a fine balance.

This is true right here. If you are a developer and have been working with IG's API, then you needed to have submitted your code to them for review with would should have basically been a built bot without it looking like one. What I mean by that is you needed your code to do everything like pull others followers, like, comment, all of those things and pretty much hide it within the code without it seeming too sketchy. If approved, your code would be ok but everyone else is now being forced into a "sandbox" mode and will not be able to ever do things like FL, MP, or Instagress.

I'm not a coder so I don't know if I'm just talking out my ass, but my coworker was telling me about this a few months ago.

Nice, good reply. I like this and it all makes sense in a neat little package... a little too neat...

Ahh.. i see what you mean.. so now FL, MP & Instagress are going to dominate the IG market since they already have the code i guess and they're on private APIs...

Then they would shut down Instagram, through a single action, Instagram can't tell if that is from a phone or from the software.

Shit, as expected the end of IG is near. I can already see a lot of spam. I will make sure I bot to the whole potential before it goes down

    @pulkitlawas

do you mean you still can use this feature? I came here late and other 3rd party programs already stopped the service.

what application are you using? is it still working?
