Ok, so I have begun my own Instagram journey and I have hit my original goal of $20 a day, but I am wasting alot of conversions. To make the long story short I have domain name with godaddy that is redirecting to my CPA offer. The CPA offer I am using is only for USA and for Iphones, seriously limiting my conversion potential. My question is can I filter my traffic from my domain, even though I am only redirecting through my domain, they never go to my domain they only click on it and it takes them directly to the WAP mobile optimized offer? I have read alot of threads about geo-redirecting and to be honest I am not a programmer, so I am not getting it, please save me the dumb*** "USE THE SEARCH BOX" answers. So if someone knows of a service that can do this for me or someone that can guide me through this it would be much appreciated! And THX to all BHW'ers for inspiring me to take action!!

you should be fine redirecting the traffic directly to the offer.....common practice

Yes, but my question is how do I redirect the traffic to the appropriate offer. For example how do i send the Iphone users in the US to the Iphone offers for the US, but the Android user in Australia to the Australian Android offer? Using the same domain redirect? You follow me??

There's a php script for this, I'd just google search around.

    It's sorta in the format:
if "US" then "affiliatelink1.com" or something. Not skilled in PhP haha

You'll need to create an actual landing page with a huge button that says 'Claim Your Offer Now' or something to that effect. When they click on that link, you'll send them to a link/directory that enables geo-redirection. The script and all necessary files have been given in the link below. It works - I know because I just set up one using this very script.

Thx and not being choosy, but I was really hoping to avoid that route, as I don't want to have people go to a LP first. I really hope someone knows a way to do this with my current method.

Only way you're going to be able to do it easily would be using the geo plugin in the link snoozebot posted. I have no PHP knowledge either but the instructions you get with that plugin make it so easy, even my dog could do it ;) It's set up within 5 min mate. Also when I tried it I received a header error, if you scroll down on the first page of posts there is a code I posted that fixes the error.

In that case, I suppose you could install the afore-mentioned script directly on your main folder. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work.

That said, having an LP is advisable because the traffic that you're sending to the CPA offers come from your website/LP, not directly from Instagram. Some networks/offers do not accept Instagram traffic, from what I've heard.

Sorry but what do you mean my "main folder"? And I spoke directly with my AM and told him my method and he said it was perfectly fine with them? So fingers crossed!

What I meant was - If your website was http://www.freebies.com, you could upload the script and the associated files directly to the index folder that hosts your website files instead of creating a subdirectory such as http://www.freebies.com/blah/ as suggested in bk071's thread. This way, you're eliminating the need for a LP and directly geo-ip-redirecting your visitors. Sorry about the confusion.

The OP doesn't want to redirect his visitors based on geo-location though. He wants to redirect based on the mobile OS.. your best bet is to look for a script that redirects based on user agents. I've never seen one before.

I am wondering if I can do both? Geo-redirecting and redirect based on the mobile OS? Is that possible??

Yes of course both is possible, however you will need to more advanced coding to do both.

There is however quite a simple way to redirect based on only mobile OS, by placing the following example in your .htaccess file(this example is for ipads):

    Code:
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^.*iPad.*$
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://ipad.yourdomain.com [R=301]

You should focus on the same offer, but use different networks/offers for different locations/topics, if you start getting decent traffic, run the same offer on 2 networks, splitting the profits is a part of being 'blackhat'

I am doing test runs and I am starting very small with good accounts and gaining about 1,000 hits a day but I want to make sure that they are converting at the best rate possible.

If you don't mind my asking, how many accounts do you have and what bots are you using to achieve your current $20/day?
