Since most social media networks ban for direct affiliate links, I was surprised to see that a very popular account puppystagrams with 1.4m followers is promoting a clickbank product by posting a direct affiliate link in its description, hops and all.

Isn't that asking for a ban or does IG have no problem with affiliate links in the description?

My account growth is completely manual. I have around 2k to 3k likes per picture in the pet niche with 7.3k followers so was wondering if I could monetize it this way. Has anyone tried posting links like this and would it be okay?
