I am setting up an Adwords campaign and want to know how well other nations perform on google search???....I will be targeting the UK, CA, and AU (along with the US of course). Would Canada be a poor nation to advertise to because of the French speaking population there or do the pro's outweigh the con's??? Any insight would be much appreciated!

    Holmes,

While I cannot offer any specific advice, it would be wise to try and find any information you can on the purchasing habits of populations in these regions of the world. Consumers behave differently, especially when it comes to purchasing products online. There are many factors that could contribute to this such as the substandard web infrastructure in some foreign nations as well as the traditional buying habits of those populations.

Here is a good article that will give you a good perspective on the topic,

    Hope that answers your question,

    Shawn

From experience in e-commerce, the US is really the only nation that coverts very well. Comparatively, most of the other countries are really tough to work, Australia for example, is MUCH less likely to buy online.... the vast people prefer to research online and buy locally.

From the language standpoint, you can target any country you want, and set the language to English, so people searching in the local language won't see it.
